Apprendre pour la Paix
De 2012 à 2016, l'UNICEF et le gouvernement des Pays-Bas ont entrepris un partenariat sur plusieurs années intitulé "Programme pour la consolidation de la paix, l'éducation et le plaidoyer (PBEA)", également connu comme "Apprendre pour la Paix". L'objectif de ce programme était de tester comment l'éducation peut être exploitée pour contribuer à réduire les facteurs de conflits dans les pays fragiles et en situation de post-conflit. Contrairement à d'autres programmes UNICEF d'éducation en situations d'urgence, la consolidation de la paix était vue comme l'objectif premier d'Apprendre pour la paix, avec le but de renforcer (à travers le système d'éducation et la prestation de services sociaux) la résilience, la cohésion sociale, et la sécurité commune dans les pays touchés par un conflit.
Durant ce projet, Apprendre pour la paix a réalisé des dizaines de missions, de rapports, d’études de cas, de guides et de produits de recherche; et a rassemblé de nombreuses autres ressources pertinentes en rapport avec le lien entre l’éducation et la consolidation de la paix.
