Evènement EiE Events on International Day of the Girl 2023 October 11 is International Day of the Girl! In observance, many INEE partners have planned events to advocate for increased awareness of gender inequality in education and promote gender-responsive education. Following are listed, in chronological order, a few events that are relevant to gender equity, girls’ education, and education in emergencies around International Day of the Girl. UTC
Evènement Launching Mind the Gap 3: Equity and Inclusion in and through Girls’ Education in Crisis This virtual event will provide an overview of the context, purpose, key findings, and recommendations from the Mind the Gap 3 report and Closing the Gap 3 policy paper. This report summarizes progress, gaps, challenges and opportunities in improving education and training for girls and women affected by conflict and crisis. This report highlights the following thematic areas: recruiting and retaining female teachers, girls with disabilities and gender-responsive inclusive education, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) education in emergencies. The event will also feature reflections from youth activists from the Refugee Education Council. UTC

Ressource Intégrer la consolidation de la paix dans la réflexion sur le nexus dans l’éducation en situations d’urgence : pratiques prometteuses pour surmonter les injustices Son objectif est d’explorer de manière critique le potentiel de l’éducation à contribuer au nexus entre l’humanitaire, le développement et la consolidation de la paix dans les contextes touchés par les conflits. Pour ce faire, cinq études de cas ont été commandées, présentant une vue d’ensemble des interventions concernant l’éducation qui ont eu des résultats relatifs à la consolidation de la paix.
