Ressource Regional Workshop for Accelerated Education in Latin America and the Caribbean A regional workshop for Accelerated Education (AE) was held in Cali, Colombia from November 28 to 30, 2023. Its main goal was to strengthen the quality of AE policies and programs in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. This workshop was developed by the Accelerated Education Working Group (AEWG) of the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE).in collaboration with the LAC Regional Education Working Group (REG-LAC) . The workshop was an excellent example of collaboration and coordination among agencies. It was supported with funding from the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The venue for the workshop was provided free of charge by the Autonomous University of Cali (Colombia). This report shows the main results of the workshop and the agreements reached.

Ressource Steering through Storms: Five Recommendations for Education Leaders to Close the Learning Gap in Times of Crisis This High-Level Policy Guidance provides evidence-based actionable recommendations for education leaders who want to initiate AEPs, strengthen or expand existing AEPs or enhance the cohesion and oversight of diverse AEPs in their country. With insights from many countries, this Guidance provides a roadmap for policy actions, concrete policy examples and country case studies. Its lessons can be applied globally.
Ressource Accelerate with Care: Towards Gender-Responsive Accelerated Secondary Education The JRS and the SEWG, with support from INEE’s AEWG, worked together on a report to examine the relevance and appropriateness of SAEPs, the factors that enable and challenge the potential of SAEPs in supporting progress through and completion of secondary education, and the extent to which SAEPs are gender-responsive. This webinar presented the findings and recommendations of the report in five parts.
Ressource Accelerate with Care: Towards Gender-Responsive Secondary Accelerated Education This report examines the relevance and appropriateness of SAEPs, which are currently available at the lower secondary level, and the extent to which these programmes can respond to the needs of overage learners who are likely to be in later stages of adolescence and youth, and whose socio-economic statuses pose greater challenges for accessing and continuing education.
