Continuing learning and schooling for refugees: Ensuring refugee students are able to learn at home and return to school

Led by UNHCR and UNESCO, convened and chaired Special Envoy Angelina Jolie and co-hosted by Canada and the United Kingdom, this high-level virtual roundtable will bring together voices of affected communities and partners to hear about the needs and responses on the ground. The roundtable is built on a recognition of the role of host governments in leading responses and the need for international solidarity in supporting planning for return to school and catching up on missed education.

This webinar is hosted by the IASC Community Based Approaches working group, under the umbrella of the IASC MHPSS Reference group. It will be facilitated by a team from Proteknôn, who are engaged in a piece of work to review and update the UNICEF 2015 evidence and practice review of MHPSS for children in humanitarian settings, and to develop a toolkit:Facilitating Community based and participatory MHPSS programmes- engaging children, adolescents, caregivers and communities. This piece of work is funded by IOM through OFDA.
