تعمل جوليا سيبرت مستشارة للسياسات في الوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي في بون، حيث تقدم الإستشارة للوزارة الاتحادية الألمانية للتعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية (BMZ) في مجال التعليم في أوقات الأزمات والصراعات والتعليم المناخي. بدأت حياتها المهنية في التعليم العالي، حيث درّست التاريخ الأفريقي المعاصر في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، وقبل انضمامها إلى الوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي، عملت كمستشارة أولى في مجال التعليم لدى العديد من المنظمات غير الحكومية، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على تدريب المعلمين وتعليم السلام والتعليم العالي في منطقة البحيرات العظمى وأفريقيا الوسطى. عملت كخبيرة استشارية لسنوات عديدة في دعم المدارس والجامعات في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، وتواصل العمل مع المدارس الدينية في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية ورواندا في مجالات التعليم المراعي للنزاعات، وتغير المناخ والتحول بين الجنسين.

Julia Seibert is a policy advisor at GIZ, Bonn. She advises the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on Education in Crisis and Conflict and on Climate Education. Julia began her career in higher education teaching Modern African History at the American University in Cairo. Prior to her role at GIZ, she has worked as a senior advisor on education for different NGOs with a focus on teacher education, peace education and higher education in the Great Lake Region and Central Africa. As a consultant Julia has years of experience supporting schools and universities in the Democratic Republic of Congo and she continues to work with faith-based schools in DRC and Rwanda on conflict sensitive, climate and gender transformative education. 

Julia Siebert es asesora política en la GIZ, Bonn. Asesora del Ministerio federal alemán de cooperación económica y desarrollo (BMZ) sobre educación en situaciones de crisis y conflicto y sobre educación climática. Julia comenzó su carrera en la enseñanza superior impartiendo historia moderna de África en la Universidad Americana de El Cairo. Antes de incorporarse a la GIZ, trabajó como asesora senior en materia de educación para diversas ONG, centrándose en la formación de docentes, la educación para la paz y la educación superior en la región de los Grandes Lagos y África Central. Como consultora, Julia cuenta con años de experiencia en el apoyo a escuelas y universidades en la República Democrática del Congo y sigue trabajando con escuelas religiosas en la RDC y Ruanda en el ámbito de la educación sensible al conflicto, transformadora del clima y de género.

Julia a commencé sa carrière dans l'enseignement supérieur en enseignant l'histoire de l'Afrique moderne à l'Université américaine du Caire. Avant de rejoindre la GIZ, elle a travaillé en tant que conseillère principale en éducation pour différentes ONG, en particulier dans les domaines de la formation des enseignants, de l'éducation à la paix et de l'enseignement supérieur dans la région des Grands Lacs et en Afrique centrale.
