We are pleased to share with you, in this 2018 Annual Report, a summary of the network’s many activities and accomplishments, which are organized by the network’s strategic priorities outlined in the INEE Strategic Framework 2018-2023.

On 17 July 2020, a group of 35 experts from across policy, practice and academia engaged in an online consultation to discuss the Futures of Education in emergencies (EiE) and protracted crises. The report of the event will be submitted to the International Commission on the Futures of Education for its consideration.

This tool is intended to be used primarily by GPE Secretariat country teams but may also be useful to GPE partner countries and their education sector partners. This tool is part of GPE’s commitments to support inclusive, evidence-based policy dialogue to include refugees in education systems. 

This Think Piece aims to locate this humanitarian-development nexus within the education sector, and to identify opportunities for key partners to seize the momentum around this nexus, particularly with regard to learners, teachers, national education system actors affected by forced displacement.

The purpose of the policy seminar was to put the Education in Emergency (EIE) issues is some larger perspectives, to generate strategies of how to advocate for a suitable place for education and training in conflict emergency settings within post-2015 MDG and EFA policy frameworks, identifying the most appropriate advocacy messages, entry points and activities.

The booklets in this series are written primarily for two types of clientele: those engaged in educational planning and administration, in developing as well as developed countries; and others, less specialized, such as senior government officials and policy-makers who seek a more general understanding of educational planning and of how it is related to overall national development.
