Lessons and Impacts of a Phone-Based Parenting Program for Syrian and Jordanian Families with Young Children

This study, led by Global TIES for Children at New York University, is the first to evaluate a phone-delivered version of a parenting program in the Middle East and the first randomized-controlled evaluation of an audio-only parenting program for a community sample (that is, a sample without diagnosed health problems or disabilities).

To better understand the use of EdTech interventions as part of the Covid-19 response, in late 2020, EdTech Hub commissioned ten small-scale research studies in five low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This paper presents a summary and review of these studies to explore EdTech use in low-resource contexts during the Covid-19 pandemic and considers implications of its use in these contexts going forward.
