Collaboration Across Child Protection and Education in Emergencies

“Joint and integrated programming can result in more efficient, better targeted, and more effective programmes that ultimately result in improved outcomes for children and young people.”

INEE and the Alliance have come together to support and encourage joint and integrated programming between child protection and education in crisis contexts. To support this work they have developed a Position Paper that outlines the rationale behind cross sector collaboration and suggests a way forward for implementation of joint and integrated programmes. This paper has recently been translated into Arabic, French, Portuguese and Spanish and the INEE & The Alliance have organised this webinar to discuss the paper, highlight the key findings and see how the recommendations can be applied in practice.

We have invited guest panelists for a conversation on how they are championing,  promoting and delivering cross-sector programming: PRM will discuss how they expect implementing partners to demonstrate joint approaches in their work; IRC Cameroon will explain how joint programming maximises impact for the children they work with; and UNHCR East Africa will highlight their strategic approaches aimed at bringing the two sectors into alignment.
