Collaboration Across Child Protection and Education in Emergencies

In this paper, the The Alliance and INEE set out the evidence supporting collaboration and integration between the sectors, providing a rationale for cross-sector work grounded in child well-being and holistic development. The paper includes a summary of challenges and opportunities, and draws out clear recommendations for systematic and planned collaboration. This paper is built on extensive research conducted throughout 2020, with input and oversight from the multi-agency CPHA-EiE Advisory Group.

The Alliance and INEE call on donors and implementing agencies to consider their approach to designing, funding, and delivering education and child protection programmes, and to move towards joint or integrated program models, putting child well-being and healthy development at the centre of their approaches.
