Resource Participatory approaches for strengthening teacher professional development in refugee settings: successes and limitations This article presents critical reflections on a teacher professional development initiative in Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement in Kenya. Drawing on critical development studies, it examines the successes and limitations of efforts to facilitate a community-based participatory process that aims to respond to local refugee teachers’ needs while simultaneously developing training materials as a global good.
News Lebanon: Calls for armed groups to vacate schools in Ein El Helwe Camp BEIRUT, 18 August 2023 – Armed groups must immediately cease their occupation of schools in Ein El Helwe Palestine refugee camp in the south of Lebanon, said Save the Children, after the facilities were damaged during recent fighting in the camp. The camp has eight UNRWA schools that normally provide education for up to 6,000 children.

Resource Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Emergencies: Developing and Delivering Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Education in Crisis Settings This brief was developed to support dissemination of key messages in Mind the Gap 3: Equity and Inclusion in and through Girls’ Education in Crisis. It provides an overview of evidence and gaps related to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) education in emergencies and recommends actions and measures to protect women’s and girls’ rights within education.
