Luke coordinates INEE’s work related to evidence. Before joining INEE, Luke worked for UNESCO’s Section for Migration, Displacement, Emergencies and Education supporting work on EiE data system strengthening in Ethiopia and South Sudan and climate-displacement. Luke started his career in EiE in Uganda working as a consultant, including for UNESCO IIEP, on conflict and disaster risk management in the education sector. He has a MA in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex, with a specialisation in education’s relationship to conflict, violence and peace. Luke also has experience with education research with refugee, host and rural communities in East Africa. He is currently based in Bristol, UK.

Luke coordina el trabajo de la INEE relacionado con las evidencias. Antes de incorporarse a la INEE, Luke trabajó para la Sección de Migración, Desplazamiento, Emergencias y Educación de la UNESCO, apoyando la labor de fortalecimiento del sistema de datos de EeE en Etiopía y Sudán del Sur y el desplazamiento climático. Luke coordonne le travail de l’INEE sur les preuves. Avant de rejoindre l’INEE, Luke a travaillé pour la Section Migration, déplacement, urgences et éducation de l’UNESCO en soutenant le travail de renforcement des systèmes de données ESU en Éthiopie, au Soudan du Sud et sur les déplacements causés par le changement climatique. Luke a commencé sa carrière dans l’ESU en Ouganda, où il a travaillé comme consultant, y compris pour UNESCO-IIEP, sur les conflits et la gestion des risques de catastrophes dans le secteur de l’éducation. Il possède un Master en Éducation internationale et développement de l’Université de Sussex, avec une spécialisation sur la relation de l’éducation avec les conflits, la violence et la paix. Luke a aussi de l’expérience avec la recherche en éducation avec les personnes réfugiées, les communautés d’accueil et rurales en Afrique de l’Est. Il vit actuellement à Bristol, en Grande-Bretagne.
