World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule for Children - Parent-report (WHODAS-Child-Arabic: Parent-report) - Lebanon

Circle1

The World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule for Children (WHODAS-Child-Arabic) is a disability assessment instrument based on the WHO’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for children and youth. It is modified from the original adult version specifically for use with children and translated into Arabic.

Evidence Snapshot

Summary
In testing, there was some evidence for internal consistency of subscales and for the hypothesized subscale structure. The parent-report version of WHODAS- Child did not predict severity of symptoms and functional impairment, suggesting that the parent-report WHODAS- Child may provide more limited insight into impairment and distress resulting from children’s mental health problems.
