Supporting Girls’ Agency in the Covid-19 response for education across fragile contexts
In celebration of the 2020 International Day of the Girl, the Girls Education Challenge Fund Manager and CARE are pleased to invite you to a joint webinar on the gendered impacts of Covid-19, with a special focus on girls. The webinar is scheduled for the 14th of October 2020 at 2pm UK time, under the theme: “IDG2020: Supporting Girls’ Agency in the Covid-19 response for education across fragile contexts”. The webinar will take a moment to celebrate girls around the world as well as highlight the special role played by girls in the fight against Covid-19 in their communities. Speakers will include representatives the from Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) UK; Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia; Inter Agency Network on Education in Emergencies (INEE), World Vision UK, Plan International, CARE International and Aga Khan Development Network.
This will be the sixth webinar in the “Covid-19 Adaptations for CARE’s Education Programs” Series – which has been designed to provide a platform for exchange of experiences and lessons of integrating Covid-19 considerations into education programs across different contexts as well as the impact of those interventions on marginalized children, especially girls.
