ICT in Education
WHY: Building on discussions from the F2F Education in May 2019, the SDC Education Network aims to respond to the Education Network member’s request for resources to engage in effective decision making regarding ICT in education and as an educational tool across sectors. We co-organize this webinar with our colleagues from the Swiss Network for Educational Innovation (SNBI).
WHO: SDC Education Network members and members of other SDC Networks across sectors working in development, humanitarian or migration contexts. We will have a look at the effective use of ICT in basic education as well as ICT as an educational tool for lifelong learning across sectors (e.g. in Migration, Protection, Health, Food Security, Climate Change….).
WHAT: During the webinar we will present and discuss different forms, examples, benefits and limitations of the use of ICT in education and for learning across sectors, share good practices and address key questions. The participants will…
- Get to know different forms of ICT use in education programs and as an educational tool for lifelong learning across sectors;
- Understand the benefits and challenges of ICT in their context and for their target groups;
- Exchange, discuss and reflect on experiences;
- Clarify interest and need for further action and support
