Team Leader, Evaluation of the Increasing Pathways to Learning Activity in Niger

Senior Technical Advisor, Evaluation of the Education is the Answer (EiA) Activity
The Senior Technical Specialist (STS) will support the Team Leader to design and implement the evaluation activity in collaboration with the IDG Activity Management Team, the Evaluation Team, the USAID Africa Bureau, the USAID Mission in Niger, implementing partners, government ministries, and other local and national stakeholders. Consultancy: Drafting of a Project Proposal – ECHO HIP 2025
The purpose of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive project proposal for the ECHO HIP 2025 funding cycle, focusing on education in emergencies in Ukraine. The likely interventions will include Psycho-Social Support for students and teachers, child protection and referral mechanisms, and catch-up for closing the gap in learning. The interventions will be delivered in an integrated and holistic manner, with a geographic focus likely in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, focusing on the most vulnerable, including children with disabilities.

Consultant: Ukrainian Academic Expert/Teacher Professional Development
SW will partner with Osvitoria, Izmail University, LEGO Foundation, and the Ukraine MoES to develop, design and pilot a rapid 3-month media-enhanced teacher training initiative that is practical, playful, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of young children affected by the ongoing war. The Ukrainian Academic Expert will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the drafting and translation of the Teacher Professional Development curriculum, ensuring appropriateness for the Ukrainian context and ability to be additive to the existing TPD system.

Research Consultancy
The Center for Universal Education (CUE) at the Brookings Institution is currently seeking 1-2 dynamic and experienced individuals in the Kyrgyz Republic as Research Consultants for the Research on Scaling the Impact of Innovations in Education (ROSIE) initiative, as part of the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE-KIX). The individual(s) in this consultant role will play a pivotal role in co-designing the study with the CUE team and collecting and analyzing primarily qualitative data in the country locations, drafting research products, and sharing key findings with local and global audiences.

The Sr. Technical Advisor (STA) provides expert technical guidance and expertise to programs or portfolios. The STA spends up to 40% time on business development. This may be higher or lower depending on the pipeline. This position may serve as lead writer or subject matter expert. The STA will participate in field assignments that may include providing targeted technical assistance to a project, serving in an Acting capacity for technical or management roles, including COP or DCOP, representing Creative at high-level meetings with clients, external stakeholders, and government officials, and conducting capture trips to support proposal development initiatives.
