This report analyses the delivery of Education For All from 2000-2015, drawing upon the wide variety of experiences of civil society education campaigns around the worldwide, and identifies five key lessons for the future.

The study presents estimates of the number of crisis-affected children and adolescents whose education has been disrupted by climate shocks, as well as the number of forced displacements of school-aged children due to floods, droughts and other extreme weather events.

This study’s quantitative analysis draws on statistical datasets to examine the dimensions of inequality (in terms of educational access, resources and outcomes). The analysis highlights the importance of considering both income inequality within regions and relative deprivation among regions, since some of the most impoverished counties in Kenya are among the most equal counties.

The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting closure of South Sudan’s schools in March 2020 exacerbated many of the challenges female learners face in pursuing an education. Research found that increased poverty, domestic care work, early and forced marriage, and teenage pregnancy would make it difficult for female learners to return to schools when they reopened in May 2021.

This research report looks at the effectiveness of Uganda’s Education Response Plan (ERP) in setting up effective coordination systems, channeling adequate financing, and using relevant information, to improve the effectiveness of education service delivery for refugees and host communities. It was carried out mid-way through the ERP's duration.

The manual presents a total of 34 lessons aimed at enhancing youth understanding of peace & security issues, and building their capacity to participate meaningfully and contribute to peace processes.
