We want to hear from you - INEE invites you to provide feedback on the first draft of the updated INEE Minimum Standards!

INEE Minimum Standards CoverThe INEE Minimum Standards for Education: Preparedness, Response, Recovery (INEE MS) were last revised in 2010, and the humanitarian-development landscape has shifted significantly in the past decade. To meet the priorities and needs of INEE members and all humanitarian actors, the EiE community is now undertaking an update of the INEE MS.

From October 2021 - May 2022, INEE undertook a global consultation process, soliciting feedback on the INEE MS from over 1,600 participants. The feedback and recommendations gathered during this process have now been incorporated into a first draft of the updated INEE MS. Following good practices established by the Humanitarian Standards Partnership, the draft version will be widely circulated for comments, feedback, and inputs from EiE stakeholders.

INEE is inviting EiE stakeholders to form "Reading Groups" to provide targeted, conceptual feedback, endorsement of updates, and highlight gaps in the first draft of the updated INEE MS. You may form a Reading Group of just yourself, or as part of a group of readers that you have gathered for this work. The work is to be done between 8 November 2022 until 31st January 2023. The working language of the Reading Groups will be English.

For full details see the Reading Group Terms of Reference.
