COVID-19: Solutions for pre-primary education
This web event, part of our COVID-19 webinar series and hosted jointly with UNICEF, was a follow-on to the June 11 event, Responding to the Crisis of Care and Learning: ECD and COVID-19. The discussion focused on early childhood development in humanitarian settings, zooming in on education for children aged three to six. Panelists offered a framing of the global pre-primary education landscape and shared insights into innovative examples from the field of supporting young children’s learning at home during the pandemic. They discussed strengthening the engagement of parents and other caregivers as first responders, while examining considerations for reopening pre-primary learning spaces.
