INEE Arabic Language Community (ALC) 1045 members live and work in 92 countries around the world. ALC members also represent numerous organizations and bodies such as international and local NGOs, UN agencies, government institutions, community based organisations, think tanks, and academic institutions, such as universities and schools.
The INEE Arabic Language Community (INEE ALC) is an INEE network space dedicated to members working in the MENA region and worldwide who speak Arabic.
The INEE ALC supports advocacy, resource development, and knowledge sharing across the region.The ALC creates, translates, and shares tools and information in Arabic.
It also facilitates training and capacity-sharing opportunities, and works on advocacy to amplify the voices of its members. The Arabic Language Community Facilitator (ALCF) leads and supports the community, bridging the connection between the INEE Secretariat and the Arabic language community in MENA and beyond.

Get involved
Member Engagement
- Organize webinars, roundtables, and knowledge-sharing events based on member needs.
- Support INEE Country Focal Points (CFP) in places like Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Sudan and Jordan.
- Grow and manage Arabic EiE discussion spaces on INEE Community of Practice platforms like Slack and WhatsApp.
- Lead INEE’s member engagement in MENA such as Meet-ups, Member Spotlights, and “INEE in 30 Minutes” webevents.
- Recruit new INEE Arabic-speaking members and report on community growth.
Learning & Development
- Help design and run capacity sharing workshops and orientations on INEE’s key topics including the INEE Minimum Standards.
- Support the review and translation of Arabic learning resources.
Technical Support
- Connect with local and regional partners to adapt resources to local needs.
- Provide support to members through the Help Desk and direct communication.
- Support country-level work, including emergency responses like Gaza, Yemen, Sudan etc.
Advocacy
- Amplify voices from the region, including educators and teachers, in global advocacy spaces.
- Represent INEE in MENA regional networks and events when possible.
Communications
- Stay in touch with members through Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, WhatsApp, Telegram, and more.
- Manage all Arabic content on the INEE website – translate, edit, and upload blogs, events, and resources.
- Share monthly Arabic newsletter and resource update
Knowledge Management & Translation
- Translate and adapt INEE resources to suit Arabic-speaking members.
- Lead translation projects in collaboration with members to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Encourage community feedback and participation in INEE projects like tool development and events.
INEE Minimum Standards (2024 Edition)
- Oversee the Arabic translation review and endorsement of the new INEE Minimum Standards.
- Lead a diverse group of reviewers to ensure quality and inclusivity.
