The Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) is calling for applications from organizations to fill three (3) vacancies in the INEE Steering Group.

The new member vacancies will be filled by two (2) national or regional NGOs and one (1) donor. In line with the INEE Strategic Framework Priority 4: Strengthen and diversify membership and the INEE statement on anti-racism and racial equality, this call is open to all organizations, with a preference for organizations based or working in countries where EiE programming is ongoing. Please note that organizations considering applying should not be deterred by any requirements that may serve as a barrier to participation. The INEE Steering Group Selection Committee welcomes all applications and will review each and consider any unique participation needs on a case-by-case basis.

The application deadline has been extended to 14 May 2021

Background

INEE is a network of more than 18,000 individual members affiliated with more than 4,000 organizations and institutions in 190 countries. INEE members are NGO and UN personnel, ministry of education and other government staff, students, teachers, donors, and researchers who do work related to education in emergencies. INEE exists for and because of its members.

The purpose of the INEE Steering Group is to set and lead the achievement of the strategic priorities of the network, and to ensure that INEE is managed effectively and financially sound. The INEE Steering Group has primary authority and responsibility on matters of strategic significance, on policy, and on management issues of importance to the functioning of the network. Membership of the INEE Steering Group is on an institutional basis, with a senior staff member representing each institution. Click to read the INEE by-laws.
