Hoda Jaberian
Hoda is the Programme Coordinator at UNESCO’s Section for Migration, Displacement, Emergencies and Education in charge of global initiatives. She also covers coordination of UNESCO’s field operations support on education in emergencies and protracted crises for Afghanistan and its neighboring countries, Sahel and the Great Lakes regions, Cameroon, Haiti and Madagascar. Prior to this role, she served as the education focal point for the coordination of UNESCO’s flagship initiatives “Revive the Spirit of Mosul” in Iraq and “Li Beirut” in Lebanon. Before joining UNESCO in 2015, she worked as education and fundraising lead at UNHCR for almost six years and prior to that she served as Programme Coordinator at UNFPA for over five years covering population and development strategies based on population data
