Latest Evidence for Accelerated Education

The webinar focused on sharing key findings and recommendations from a recent evidence review and explored the relevance of the findings for the non-formal education/alternative education space. The panel concluded with an overview of this review for the AEWG’s upcoming work and then opened for robust discussion.

The AEWG evidence review, commissioned by UNICEF, collates and analyses recent evidence from a range of accelerated education programmes (AEP) globally. It synthesises the most recent available data on: (1) the policy context for AEP provision; (2) the degree to which AEP’s contribute to addressing the needs of marginalised and disadvantaged learners; and (3) their overall effectiveness and efficiency in integrating students into formal education, vocational education or livelihoods.
