Learning through Play in Emergencies Reference Group

The Learning through Play in Emergencies (LtPiE) Reference Group convenes actors using play-based approaches to support children’s learning and well-being in diverse crisis-affected contexts. This group leverages the growing evidence base and global interest to share learning, curate knowledge, and co-develop guidance to strengthen LtPiE interventions.

Objectives

Objective 1: Convene actors who are using play-based approaches in emergency and conflict-affected settings for improved sector-wide coordination and learning.

Objective 2: Develop evidence-based guidance for the EiE sector on leveraging different types of play-based approaches, aligned to the 2024 INEE Minimum Standards, and demonstrating the role of play across the humanitarian-development nexus and integrated into all phases of emergency management.
