Research and Evidence

INEE and the ERICC Research Consortium are pleased to invite you to a webinar on data systems in education in conflict and crisis settings!

Hosted by the ERICC Research Consortium and INEE, this event brings together experts to engage in dialogue on data needs in education in conflict and crisis education, as data issues play a crucial role in driving evidence-based educational decision-making and the design of policies and programs in response to the needs of children in these settings. Though data is often acknowledged as a priority, many challenges remain, including difficulties in collecting reliable data due to insecurity and capacity barriers, representation of affected groups in a data system, collaboration and data alignments to policy and program interventions, accessibility of information to non-data specialists, and lack of funding for relevant data initiatives, among many others.

With these challenges in mind, this discussion aims to gain more contextual and nuanced understandings of the current state of data and data systems amidst conflict and crisis, and convenes global thought leaders, policymakers, educational researchers, and practitioners for an in-depth discussion on data in refugee education, emerging findings on EiE data systems from cross-country and political economy analyses, and the use of data to inform educational policy and interventions, as well as support from the international community.
