The Power of Story in Psychosocial Support (PSS): The Journey of Miskit from Page to Voice
The Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) invite you to a webinar on storytelling as a powerful tool for psychosocial support!
Stories help us make meaning, express emotions, and connect with one another, especially in times of crisis. In psychosocial support, storytelling becomes a powerful tool for healing, learning, and building resilience.
This webinar explores the journey of Miskit, NRC’s storytelling resource, and how her story moves from page to spoken word to support emotional expression and connection among children and communities. Together, INEE and NRC will share the creative process behind the resource, practical ways practitioners can use it, and why storytelling remains a vital approach in PSS work.
Participants will gain insight into how practitioners can use storytelling approaches within psychosocial support and social and emotional learning programming, with guidance on adapting story-based methods to diverse cultural and humanitarian contexts. This session aims to inspire educators, facilitators, and EiE practitioners to harness narrative as a meaningful tool for wellbeing.
