This event builds on a multi-part learning series organized by the INEE Data Working Group on holistic learning outcome measurement in EiEPC settings. The aim of this web event is to present the findings of a recent learning assessment conducted in Mauritania. The study used Save the Children’s Holistic Assessment of Learning Development Outcomes (HALDO) to assess the proficiency levels of grade 4 and 6 forcibly displaced Malian students in the Mbera Camp, together with children from the host community. The intended audience are education specialists and practitioners working in and on emergency settings and protracted crises, as well as those specifically working with forcibly displaced and other vulnerable populations. The webinar is an opportunity to disseminate the findings of this work and encourage other actors in this space to assess the state of learning of forcibly displaced children and address this current data gap. 

The presentation will focus on the findings of the assessments and recommendations for going forward. We will also have a moderated discussion with the presenters on a set of key questions around learning assessment in contexts of forced displacement.
