Laura Tiana Alvarez
Laura has more than 15 years of experience in the education sector, mainly in Latin America, working in different organizations - both humanitarian aid and development NGOs, gubernamental and International institutions. She has worked for the Spanish Cooperation as part of the education team and the social policy area. She has provided technical assistance to the European Commission and the Organization of Ibero-American States in the areas of technical and vocational training, EiE, human rights education, and education for global citizenship, and has supported the IIEP-UNESCO in Buenos Aires in the field of crisis-sensitive educational planning training. During the past few years, Laura has focused on the coordination of educational programs in Latin America and Caribbean countries related to EiE, educational research and innovation, social and educational inclusion, education and citizenship, SDG and international agenda, teachers, and planning of educational policies, among others. She has a degree in sociology and Masters degree in international development cooperation with a specialization in education. She is based in Spain.
