Luis Claros

Luis Claros is the INEE Country Focal Point for Venezuela. Currently, he works as an educational researcher for CENCIS (Community Center for Social Research). He has a solid background as a national education officer and national program officer for UNICEF, where he led the education cluster and the PSEA network at the subnational level during the complex humanitarian emergency since 2019. His work has been fundamental in promoting comprehensive responses and creating technical roundtables between authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs to safeguard children's rights and strengthen the recovery of the education system. 

He is a teacher by profession, focused on community cultural development, and has more than 14 years of experience in formal and non-formal education, as well as in policies for technical and vocational education and training (TVET). He has a Master's Degree in Management from the Universidad Pedagógica Libertador UPEL (Venezuela) and a Master's Degree in Neuropsychology and Education from the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja UNIR (Spain). 

 Luis is Venezuelan and speaks Spanish and English.
