Eyueil Abate Demissie


Term: March 2024- February 2026

Eyueil Abate Demissie is the INEE Country Focal Point for Ethiopia. He received his Ph.D. from Addis Ababa University in Curriculum Design and Development with a special emphasis on refugee education. He has rich experience conducting research and publishes articles on issues related to refugee education, general education, child migration, curriculum, teacher education, and emergency education. For the last 17 years, he has been teaching students from primary to university level. 

Currently he is an Assistant Professor at Kotebe University of Education as well as Coordinator of the Global Childhood Network in Ethiopia. Eyueil is Ethiopian and speaks Amharic and English.
