YouthPower Action Youth Soft Skills Assessment (YAYSSA)
The YouthPower Action Youth Soft Skills Assessment (YAYSSA) was designed to measure general social and emotional skills of youth in low-resource environments. Specifically, the tool attempts to assess positive self-concept, negative self-concept, higher order thinking skills, and social and communication skills in an effort to evaluate programs designed to enhance economic development of youth participants.
The developers have an additional peer-reviewed Evidence Report in the International Journal of Testing. Those that want access to the Evidence Report can request it from the authors on ResearchGate.
Disclaimer: This tool was not tested in an EiE context. The Measurement Library Reference Group members are including the measure as it shows promise for use in EiE contexts with careful adaptation.
