Evidence Snapshot

Summary
In testing, CES-DC had good evidence of internal consistency. However, the selected cut-off score resulted in low specificity and a high rate of false positives. If used in a clinical setting, a second stage of screening or assessment would be required to discriminate true from false positives. If used for epidemiological research, further work is required to establish a cut-off that is likely to yield a more accurate prevalence estimate in this context.
