The Journal on Education in Emergencies (JEiE) is pleased to announce an informational webinar on Wednesday, October 2, 9:30am EST, about submitting and publishing field notes with JEiE. The webinar will be geared especially toward practitioners, although all are welcome to participate; it is free and no sign-up is necessary. This webinar will be conducted in English.

The goal of the webinar is to explain JEiE’s unique field notes section within its peer-reviewed academic journal. We hope to settle any doubts and answer questions about the JEiE submission and review processes for field notes.

During the webinar, members of the JEiE Editorial Office will present a comprehensive review of JEiE’s scope and aims, our publication requirements, as well as what we look for in field notes manuscripts and how they are distinct from research articles. A portion of the webinar will be an open Q&A.

We are excited to have JEiE Editorial Board Member Dr. Sweta Shah, of the Aga Khan Foundation, co-host this webinar. An expert in early childhood development, education in developing countries and conflict-affected regions, and disaster risk reduction, Dr. Shah will share insights from her experience successfully guiding manuscripts from the field through the peer review process.

We hope you are able to join us! For more information, please contact [email protected] or visit our pages at https://inee.org/evidence/journal.
