ERICC Webinar Series: Refugee Inclusion in National Education Systems
INEE and ERICC are pleased to invite you to a webinar on the latest evidence on refugee inclusion in national education systems.
Although refugee inclusion in host country education systems has emerged as a growing policy priority in an effort to improve education access and quality, education remains out of reach for half of refugee children: compared to the global average of 102%, the primary gross enrollment rate for refugee children in 2023 was only 65%. The data signals a clear need to understand the latest research on refugee inclusion, as well as the policy and practice takeaways emerging from the latest evidence.
To this end, INEE is hosting an event bringing together researchers from Education Research in Conflict and Protracted Crisis (ERICC), Center for Lebanese Studies, the University of Edinburgh and UNHCR to present their latest research and findings in this area.
Panelists include:
- Arianna Pacifico (ERICC)
- Maha Shuayb (Centre for Lebanese Studies)
- Daniel Shephard (University of Edinburgh)
- Event discussant: Cirenia Chavez Villegas (UNHCR)
