Building Resilience in Crises through Education: Findings and Lessons Learned in DRC, Ethiopia, Niger, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda
Thursday, July 14, 2022 @ 11:00 (UTC)
This webinar is the culmination of over 4 years of programming and research on the well-being of teachers and students, their capacity to teach and learn in difficult contexts, and their resilience in the face of multiple challenges. Practitioners and researchers will present short presentations about the overall scope of their programmatic work and research in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Niger, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Through a moderated discussion, presenters will then reflect on what they learned about key issues, including teacher professional development and well-being, student learning and well-being, and collaborative approaches for conducting this work with local, national, and global partners.
We invite policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and university and postgraduate students to join us for this event.
Simultaneous translation in French and Kiswahili will be available during the event. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the web event.
