Peacebuilding
Measures designed to 1) promote peaceful relations; 2) strengthen viable political, socio-economic and cultural institutions capable of handling conflict; and 3) strengthen other mechanisms that will create or support the necessary conditions for sustained peace. Activities that aim explicitly to address the root causes of conflict and contribute to peace at large with the aim to work on conflict seeking to reduce drivers of violent conflict and to contribute to the broader societal level peace.
