Humanitarian Food Security Sector

The food security sector in humanitarian emergencies is committed to saving lives through the coordination of the food security response in both sudden onset disasters and long-running crises. Effective coordination takes place through close cooperation between partner organizations including include national governments and other authorities, international NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, United Nations organizations and donors, national and regional cluster systems. Also known as the Food Security Cluster (FSC).
