We are less than a week away from the first Global Refugee Forum, to be held in Geneva 16th-18th December!

The Global Refugee Forum (GRF) is designed to build momentum for the achievement of the Global Compact on Refugees, to highlight the needs of refugees and mobilize concrete action. The Forum itself will address a number of core themes, including, of course, education. There will be a high level discussion on education, spotlight sessions on education, as well as market place displays on education.

INEE is fully committed to ensuring that education is an integral part of the GRF and that many of the commitments and pledges that the GRF generates are for education in crisis contexts. [See our recent blog post, which includes the full text of one of our own pledges, as well as our recent webinar on the importance of Refugee Education and sharing of best practices before the GRF]. Several INEE Secretariat staff and many INEE partners will be participating in the GRF events, and we will do our best to keep you apprised of the developments during and after the forum.
