Mai manages INEE's Community of Practice, a platform that facilitates peer-to-peer communication and knowledge sharing on the full range of education in emergencies topics. Mai is an experienced programmes management specialist with over eight years of experience representing donors, INGOs, and research institutes in development and humanitarian settings with a focus on education and youth programming. Mai is a PhD candidate at the University of Auckland School of Education and Social Work. She holds a Master's in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mai is fluent in English and Arabic and has lived in Amman, Cairo, London, New York, Geneva, and Auckland.
