Ibrahim Adam Idris

Ibrahim Adam Idris is the INEE Country Focal Point for Sudan. He has a Master’s degree in education leadership from the School of Education of Kathmandu University in Nepal and a Bachelor’s degree in education from Kassala University in Sudan.
For over 10 years, he has worked for various organizations such as Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH where he actively contributed to the institutional capacity building of Sudanese education authorities and systems, provided initial skills training for forcibly displaced individuals, conducted teacher training programs, and monitored the implementation of education projects. Additionally, he has worked as a Primary School Teacher in the Eastern Sudan Region.
Currently he is in charge of overseeing the UNHCR Education Sector in the White Nile State Sub-Office in Sudan. In this role, he manages 23 camp-based refugee schools spread across 10 camps, catering to more than 53,000 students, approximately 650 refugee teachers, and two implementing partners. Ibrahim is Sudanese and speaks Arabic and English.
