Hamza Yusuf

Hamza Yusuf is the INEE Country Focal Point for Syria. He has a Bachelor's degree in English Literature in addition to a Certificate of Advanced Studies) for Education in Emergencies (EiE) in Middle East and Eastern Europe from the University of Geneva.
He has been actively teaching secondary education for more than 4 years and has approximately 8 years of experience in humanitarian work with a focus on EiE, PSS-SEL, and child protection. This experience has developed his technical knowledge in designing projects and interventions as well as tools, guidance notes, documents and training materials—all with the aim of ensuring the highest quality of education in emergency services. He previously worked with a number of local civil society organizations in the field responding to the Syrian crisis and also with international organizations, notably People in Need and World Vision. He is currently serving as Education Technical Coordinator with World Vision International for Syria, Türkiye and Jordan response and is based in Gaziantep, Türkiye. Hamza is Syrian and speaks Arabic and English.
