Adolescent and Youth Engagement MENA UN: NGO adolescent and youth group toolkit
Recently youth have been in the frontlines of development in the Middle East and North Africa region. They have unique perspectives and mobilization bases to bring to the table, yet there are few formal channels for them to influence decision-making. This is especially true for youth from marginalized communities and demographics. In the face of natural disasters and conflicts, youth's possibilities to influence are stripped, while they become increasingly vulnerable to violence, exploitation, and abuse.
This toolkit has been created to help humanitarian and development workers empower youth activism. It can be used to incorporate youth in phases of programming, as well as to guide the design of programming specifically focused on youth-led engagement.
