Coordination in Practice: Lessons from ECD Coordination in Challenging Contexts

Sesame Workshop and the UVA Humanitarian Collaborative partnered to better understand the success factors and challenges in the coordination of multi-sectoral early childhood development (ECD) – including health, nutrition, protection, early learning, and responsive caregiving – particularly in areas affected by conflict and crisis. In this webinar, we presented learnings and share assets that the cohort has produced so far and that can support practitioners in their work. We also announced the next phase of the cohort, hosted by the Moving Minds Alliance, and gathered input from webinar participants on the gaps and priorities the cohort should address in the future.

Panelists:

  • Emily Garin, Senior Director, Advocacy, Sesame Workshop
  • Kirsten Gelsdorf, Professor of Practice of Public Policy and Director of Global Humanitarian Policy, the University of Virginia
  • Carlos del Castillo, Consultant, Early Childhood Emergencies, Sesame Workshop
  • Nada Elattar, Early Childhood Development Specialist & Manager, UNICEF
