The 2022 Transforming Education Summit galvanized governments and the international community to commit to addressing the current learning crisis, with an increasing number of countries endorsing the Commitment to Action on Foundational Learning and partners redoubling their efforts to end the learning crisis.

To build on the momentum from the TES pre-summit, and to inform ongoing support to Learning in Education in Emergencies, UNICEF is working on a Learning in Humanitarian Action Policy Brief. The policy brief seeks to position the importance of the learning agenda about key global priorities and strategies and to share examples of practical and scalable solutions implemented by partners around three topics central to children’s learning in humanitarian settings:

  1. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
  2. Social and Emotional Learning
  3. Learning Assessment

The purpose of this webinar is to engage partners in the finalization of the draft Learning in Humanitarian Action policy brief. The webinar will also be an opportunity for peer-to-peer learning as we work collectively to address the challenges of enabling learning in humanitarian settings.
