Safe Children, Safe Schools Community

The Safe Children, Safe Schools Community brings together a large network of researchers, practitioners (NGOs) and policy makers who are committed to contributing towards child-centred risk reduction and resilience, and school safety. Like those of the Comprehensive School Safety framework, their goals are: 

• To ensure children’s safety, security, protection, and well-being in relation to all types of hazards and risks, in and on the way to school and other learning environments
• To reduce inequities in access to education and to ensure educational continuity in the face of hazards and risks
• To safeguard education sector investments and assets
• To promote a culture of safety and resilience
