REDLAC Meeting on Preparedness to Hurricane Season in the Caribbean

The REDLAC Meeting on Preparedness to Hurricane Season 2019 in the Caribbean was held in Panama on June 4, 2019. 

In the aftermath of the 2017 Hurricane Season, the REDLAC community reflected on the lessons they had learned, such as identifying needs for improved coordination, technical capacities, and outreach and data. From these lessons, they identified five key findings, including reflections on:

  1. Sectorial Leadership and Coordination
  2. Communication Chain
  3. Intersectoral Assessments
  4. Inclusion on the Gender Perspective
  5. Logistics

This report analyzes these findings, and shares the events that occurred during the June 4th meeting.
