If Education Cannot Wait, Then Humanitarian Aid Needs to Increase

Following the release of the Global Humanitarian Assistance Report 2018, this blog addresses the need to prioritize education financing in the global agenda. Despite the fact that education is critical in addressing the root of the problems in many conflict-affected countries, the share of education in total humanitarian aid was just 2.1% at the time of the release of this report. With a rise in the number of displaced people across the world, education funding needs to be prioritized in order to see long-term solutions and change within the nations receiving aid.
