Editorial Note: Journal on Education in Emergencies: Volume 6, Number 1
In this editorial note, special issue lead editors Diana Rodríguez-Gómez and Maria Jose Bermeo identify the major trend lines in the relationship between education and the war on drugs. In detailing the contributions the issue authors make to EiE evidence, theory, and methods, they urge the field to engage with the “perpetual emergencies,” including the war on drugs, that are embedded in structures and institutions, and which the EiE field’s notion of “emergency” can mask.
