L’UNESCO MGIEP recherche un consultant international pour travailler sur les projets et les initiatives du programme « Repenser la jeunesse » et « Dialoguer entre les générations sur l’éducation », qui visent à cultiver les compétences sociales et émotionnelles ainsi que d'autres aptitudes pratiques pour permettre aux jeunes leaders d'imaginer et de mettre en œuvre des activités à l'échelle de la communauté pour prévenir l'extrémisme violent (PEV). Le rôle du consultant international sera de codiriger la mise en œuvre de ces projets, en assurant la coordination interne globale et la représentation du travail de l'UNESCO MGIEP sur la PEV avec le groupe intersectoriel de l'UNESCO sur la PEV et d'autres partenaires tels que l'Alliance des civilisations des Nations unies (UNAOC).

The role of the International Consultant is to co-lead the implementation of PVE projects and Talking Across Generations on Education of UNESCO MGIEP’ Rethinking Youth Programme. This includes the overall internal coordination of and representation of UNESCO MGIEP’s work on PVE with the UNESCO Intersectoral Group on PVE and other partners such as UNAOC. Main duties and responsibilities Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO MGIEP, reporting to the Head of the Rethinking Youth Programme, and working with the Rethinking Youth Teams, the Project Officer would undertake the following responsibilities:

1. Researching, curating and developing high-quality content for SEL++PVE Course;

2. Implement the UNESCO-UNAOC-UNOCT #GamesForPVE Project: This includes designing and implementing the online engagement, the hackathon as well as output development in addition to periodic reporting to all partners.

3. Implement the #YouthWagingPeace project; including training of trainers, guidance and mentorship, as well as co-leading the development of a youth-led and regional policy document on the prevention of violent extremism

4. Organize at least two UNESCO MGIEP TAGe events on Reimaging Education – from developing the concept note, designing and moderating the online discussions, the live dialogues and the development of the policy brief.

5. Build strong global partnerships for PVE and TAGe

6. Raise a minimum of 20% of internal project allocations from extra-budgetary sources per year

7. Lead the overall internal coordination of MGIEP’s work on PVE including representing MGIEP on UNESCO’s Intersectoral Group on PVE and other internal and external PVE groups, meetings and events.
