Gender

This section provides concepts and evidence on whether and how gender roles and social status correlates to conflict and social cohesion in fragile and post-conflict contexts. It is part of the larger Learning for Peace project which produced dozens of briefs, reports, case studies, guides, and research products, and compiled many other relevant resources related to the link between education and peacebuilding.

Little is known about effective prevention. Few interventions have targeted underlying drivers of violence against women and girls (VAWG), which include social norms.
