The following data resources provide information to understand the composition of populations, migration, and forced displacement. The data are provided through datasets, graphics, dashboards, and reports. Most data are provided at the national level and updated annually for stable contexts. For contexts with changing populations due to emergencies, some data sources provide sub-national data updated quarterly or monthly.
These data are useful to better understand the context in which an education system is operating, particularly in an emergency situation. Population data provides important information that can be used to identify numbers and locations of populations of concern, including refugees, IDPs, and returnees. This can inform education program response, advocacy efforts, and education sector planning.
